With a Second Chance Offer, a non-winning bidder gets the chance to buy the item at a price equal to their last bid.
You can make Second Chance Offers up to 60 days after an auction ends.
It’s free to make an offer, but if the buyer accepts, you pay a final value fee.
How long should I wait before sending a Second Chance Offer?
You can’t enforce immediate payment for an auction. You have to wait at least 6 days to make Second Chance Offer. In another 28 hours, you can open case for non-payment, and close that 96 hours after that (if buyer still hasn’t paid).
What do I do if eBay buyer doesn’t pay?
If a buyer doesn’t pay within 2 days, a seller can open an unpaid item case in the Resolution Center. If the buyer still doesn’t pay or reach some other agreement with the seller, eBay may record the unpaid item on the buyer’s account.
Can you back out of an eBay offer?
When you can cancel a Best Offer on eBay
The item’s description has changed significantly since you made your offer, likely due to an error the seller made. You are unable to contact the seller in order to retract your offer.
Can you send multiple second chance offers?
You can also send one if you have more than one of that item. You can only send one second chance offer for an item at a time. You should only do it after the first transaction falls through, you don’t want multiple people to end up paying for the same item. Hope this helps.
